WEE-NORTH TRAINEES VISITS

Wee-North an NGO visited and collaborated with the Department of Social Welfare and Community Development in the Nanumba South District Assembly.

The purpose of the visit was to identify young girls in the District to train them in the various technical fields like

• Plumbing
• Carpentry
• Block laying
• Small engine repairs and
• Electricals

This training was carried out in the various technical institutions in the Tamale Metropolis. It was a two months training to enhance their capacity in the various skills. The gallant ladies visited the assembly after the training to pay homage and make their intentions clear, on how much determined they are for contracts. They appealed to the assembly to support them in that direction. The District Coordinating Director, applaud them of their determination and hard work to successfully complete the training duration. He advised them and show them the way forward. It was a fruitful discussion.
