It has been a tradition over the years since the inception of Ablekuma Central Municipal Assembly to support religious festivities in the municipality.
This year is no different from the previous. Under the auspices and stewardship of Hon. Mariama Karley Amui, the Municipal Chief Executive of Ablekuma Central, the assembly donated a range of items including 150 bags of rice as well as 100 boxes of cooking oil to the leadership of the Islamic groups in the municipality.
According to the MCE, the chiefs and opinion leaders in the various Muslim communities in the municipality wield so much power and respect from their subordinates and hence these food items given through their leadership will go a long way to reach out to their subjects.
Madam Amui also emphasized on the need to celebrate the Eid with moderation and cautioned the youth to desist from acts that are not conversant with the celebration.
Chief Alhaji Sulley Wangabi, Chief of Town council Line upon receiving the items on behalf of the Muslim communities during the presentation by the MCE, acknowledged the Assembly and its leadership for these humanitarian gestures they have been doing over the years.
Russia Asafoatse who received the items on behalf Nmenmette Traditional Council upon presentation extended his express gratitude to the MCE and the assembly for this yeo man’s job the assembly has been doing over the years.
He therefore asked for Allah’s blessings on the assembly and guidance in delivery of its services to the people of Ablekuma Central and the nation at large .
